Joshi was invited to deliver a plenary address to an international gathering of government officials, scholars, and community leaders sponsored by the Government of Gujarat, India. As the only scholar speaking on the American segment of the Indian diaspora, Dr. Joshi described the connections and disconnections between the U.S. immigrant and second generation and their Indian communities of origin. The event was hosted by North Gujarati University and funded by Government of Gujarat.
